In 2046, American media personalities must obtain an officially sanctioned “performance card” or face internment in “terror aversion camps”. Musician Amanda Casey is a rebel spreading the truth about her government’s corruption via seemingly innocent love songs.
What she doesn't know is that the government thinks her message is just the thing to keep the people under control.
This is the story of a dreamer’s fight against a police state for a free society even as she herself becomes co-opted, another brand name to sell to the masses.
CJ HURTT
CJ Hurtt is a short story and comic book writer. His work can be
found in Horror Library Vol 1, wordriot.org, and Lighthouse Magazine.
He is also a former founding member of horrorlibrary.net and currently
serves as an editor for Darkrecesses.com.
CJ lives in Las Vegas with his wife (the writer Mary Madewell) and
their three destructive cats.

Shawn Richter
Shawn Richter is an RPG and comic book artist. His art can be seen in the graphic novels DRIVE and A TRIP TO RUNDBERG published by Frequency Press, West End Games D6 SPACE system rulebook, and the forthcoming graphic novel AGAINST THE WALL (written by Dino Caruso).
Shawn lives north of the 50th parallel in Sioux Lookout, ON with his girlfriend, and only one cat.
